Sean Kidd
Sean Kidd is a Clinical Psychologist, Senior Scientist, and the Division Chief of Psychology at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and an Associate Professor in the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry. He is the Chief Scientific Officer of A4i. Areas of focus for Dr. Kidd have included developing and trialling interventions for individuals with severe mental illnesses and youth who have experienced homelessness. He has conducted trials of cognitive and critical time interventions for schizophrenia spectrum populations, housing stabilization interventions for homeless youth, digital health interventions for severe mental illness, and global health work in the area of climate change and homelessness.
Alicia Chung
Alicia Chung, Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her research interests include health promotion of sleep, diet and play behaviors that reduce obesity risk in families of color to narrow the health disparities gap. In her current role, as a faculty member in the Center for Early Childhood Health and Development (CEHD), under the mentorship of Laurie Brotman, PhD (CEHD, Director), in the Department of Population Health, she leads the community engagement and partnership evidence-building for a place-based initiative to enhance school readiness among children, families and school leaders in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Through this work, in collaboration with colleagues at CEHD, she is able to culturally adapt parent-focused interventions, to address the social-emotional wellbeing of Pre-K children. Working alongside NYU’s Family Health Center, she is able to develop cross-collaborations in the medical, education and community setting to develop strategies to address social determinant of health needs for children and families.
Azizi Seixas
Azizi Seixas, Ph.D. is an associate professor at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He is Founding Director of the Media and Innovation Lab and Associate Director for the Center for Translational Sleep and Circadian Sciences. Dr. Seixas’ research broadly focuses on two areas: 1) biological, behavioral, clinical, environmental, and psychosocial determinants of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic disease/conditions, mental health, and brain health (dementia and aging), and 2) developing adaptive, precise, and personalized behavioral interventions to improve health and well-being with the use of machine learning, translational artificial intelligence, and digital technology. His work has been widely supported by National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF) and several industry and foundation partners.
Lindsay Mayberry
Lindsay Mayberry is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She designs and tests interventions to support lifestyle change in chronic conditions, with a particular focus on family involvement and disparities.
Lyndsay Nelson
Dr. Nelson is a Research Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is a social/health psychologist with expertise in patient and stakeholder engagement, the design and usability of technology-delivered interventions, and implementation science.
Patricia Janssen
A perinatal epidemiologist, Patricia co-leads the Maternal Child Health Theme at the University of British Columbia School of Population Health. She leads a Cluster of Research Excellence at UBC entitled Advancing the Science of Physiologic Birth. Patricia is currently studying the utility of SMS text messaging as a modality to improve health literacy and motivate health behavior change among expectant and new parents. In 2020 she was named one of the top 50 Changemakers in Public Health among alumni of the University of Washington School of Public Health.
Jennifer Lloyd
Jennifer Lloyd is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical mental health practice and established success in innovative program development and delivery.
In 2018, Jennifer joined the Georgian College team to lead the development of their institutional Mental Health and Well-being Strategic Plan.
Dedicated to cultivating a culture of empathy, connection, respect and equity at Georgian, Jennifer cares about creating organizational conditions necessary to ensure that students and employees can easily access mental health supports and services. Jennifer is passionate about helping the Georgian College community succeed in their academic and career pursuits and constantly seeks out creative ways to empower and prioritize mental health and well-being for all. Jennifer is also a certified trainer for Mental Health First Aid and the LivingWorks Safe Talk and ASIST programs.
Ellen Tilden
Ellen Tilden, PhD, CNM, FACNM is a nurse-midwife, women’s health clinical-scientist, and an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, Department of Nurse-Midwifery and School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. Ellen studies maternity care health systems, with a particular focus on prenatal care and birth setting, and labor progress.
Lisa Millitelo
Lisa is an Assistant Professor in the Martha Pitzer Center for Women, Children, and Youth at The Ohio State University (OSU). She has her PhD in Healthcare Innovation and is a Board Certified pediatric nurse practitioner with a background in maternal child public health. Lisa aims to reduce disparities in health and healthcare by bridging the gap between clinic and home. Her research is focused on optimizing family-centered digital health interventions to support healthy lifestyle behaviors among children and families within the context of everyday life.
Byron Fergerson
Byron Fergerson is a Clinical Professor in the UCSD Department of Anesthesiology specializing in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Echocardiography. He has been studying, lecturing, and promoting physician wellness for almost a decade. He has served as the Wellness Director for the Anesthesiology department and is currently Vice-Chair of Faculty Wellness and Engagement. Dr. Fergerson is also Chair of the UCSD Wellness Director Committee (WDC) and is active in wellness initiative development throughout UCSD. Dr. Fergerson has received training in peer support communication, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Compassion Cultivation, and advanced training in Mindfulness facilitation. He has completed the UC Davis/Irvine Clinician Health and Well-Being Fellowship the Stanford Physician Well-Being Course both of which aim to teach how to identify and treat psychosocial problems; implement preventative health measures; and engage, treat, and monitor impaired physicians. Dr. Fergerson is currently working on two text-based interventions for perioperative pain control and physician wellness and engagement. Prior to coming to UCSD, Dr. Fergerson was Chair of the University of Utah Hospital and Clinics Ethics Committee as well as a member of Hospital Medical Board.
